A Day with Ryan

Today was just my most favorite day in a long time, well since his birthday last weekend.  While I have been sick for over a week now and still not feeling well, Eric was traveling so it was just me and the energizer bunny!!  After he slept for 11 hours, thank god, he came in bed and snuggled, like gave me hugs, so cute!  Then we went and got his 1 year portraits made, where he clinged to me and was so scared to let go.  We were able to get I think one smiling pic and a few others not screaming- success!  We came home and he slept for 2.5 hours while I caught up on some work, cleaned the house, started some laundry etc- the not so much fun, yet really needed to happen part of my day.  When he woke up I made us lunch, the same thing.  We had a sandwich with baked turkey and an orange, his of course was all chopped up.  He was in SUCH a good mood, we sat at the table together and talked.  It was so cool!!  Of course all of his words were blah gaga daddad but he would pause when I asked him a question and then he would talk talk talk.  It is so cute watching him eat and having a convo with my little guy.  Then it was off to the weg for some much needed grocery shopping.  We had so much fun, he held so much stuff, he talked the whole time, waived to everyone that stopped their shopping trip to say hi to him, was singing and dancing, and smiling at me every time I smiled at him.  He even got his own thing of ice cream!  We returned home and I put him upstairs with the gates locked while I got the groceries out, I come up and where is he splashing in the toilet.  When I grabbed him to wash his hands he just started laughing hysterically and so did I.  He sat in his high chair eating puffs while I made dinner, hamburgers & gravy, mashed potatoes, greeen beans- one of my favorites and he loved it.  Then we finished out the night with our bath and Wheel of Fortune.  There was no rushing, no making him do something because I had a million other things to do, no watching the clock for nap time, no nothing except smiles!!  I can't believe how grown up he is but I love feeling like we totally bonded and had a great day!!!  It's true I'm obsessed and would do anything to make this little boy happy!!
