Eric, Ryan and I are soooo excited to announce that we are 14 weeks preggo with round 2!!! Ryan is going to be a big brother!!!! Same sort of weekly idea as the 1st time but a little different, check out what we've been up to!!
5 Weeks November 20th - November 26th
Our baby is the size of an Appleseed. While yes it's a "baby" it looks more like a tadpole than the human-variety.
Me:
- I am totally pregnant says the pee stick and the blood work and my waistline, but it hasn't sunk in my brain quite yet.
- Bye bye cab sav see ya in a while :(
- I am Moody as hell, thought I was having a really bad PMS week
- Peeing all of the time, even in the middle of the night, hence when I took a pregnancy test and found out we were preggo
- Pretty sure I have already gained weight and I feel like I am already showing, I always heard it shows earlier the 2nd time around, but c'mon give a few weeks!!
- This time I am also a nervous wreck but for totally different reasons. Last time I was nervous about the pregnancy and everything being perfect with that. Now I am nervous about my body and has it fully recovered from a the c-section that those doctors call major surgery (ha!), am I going to have an easy pregnancy like last time so I can do everything with Ryan that he wants me to do in the meantime, and how on earth am I am going to handle TWO little ones!!!
- I am not sure because I started my 9 week countdown at week 6
- Everyone is very excited, obviously Ryan has no idea, but we are happy and thankful but totally shocked that it worked on the first try...
6 Weeks November 27th- December 3rd
Our baby is the size of a Sweet Pea...Not only is our baby growing like crazy, he/she is starting to sprout eyes, nose, ear, chin, and cheeks.
Here's our new little bean:
Found out we will be 7 weeks tomorrow, due date is July 22nd, and the baby's heart rate was 134. Still amazing to see a heart beat...
Me:
- Nautious feeling, I've missed you!! Totally back, in the mornings and when I do too much too fast
- Bed by 9:30 every night, and up a few times each night to pee
- So last time when I was going to bed early and getting a good 8 or 9 uninterrupted hours of sleep I was having the best sleep ever, not so much with a baby who is up all night long
- Ryan obviously has no idea what is going on, but he is doing great himself!! He is just so sweet, I know he is going to make the best big brother!
- Eric and I are both still sort of in shock, so we are taking it all in. And being that I am not really having any symptoms everything is pretty business as usual, he is doing a fabulous job ignoring my mood swings though :)
This week our baby is the size of a blueberry.
- Has an appendix, which is kind of cool until you remember that the appendix is almost completely useless. But it’s there now! Awww.
- Has a two-chambered heart, air passages in the lungs, and cerebral hemispheres in the braaaaaains. - cray cray
- Having some anxiety about little Ryan and him having to give up all of my attention so soon, I have always known I wanted lots and lots of kids but now that I have this amazing little boy that deserves the best of everything it's so hard to think i'm not always going to be able to give him my undivided attention. I think my hormones are going nuts.
- Nautious from time to time and not just in the mornings, the fun comes at all times of the day, especially when I haven't eaten in 5 minutes - cure to that, eat all day long.
- Feeling super insecure about already showing, I haven't gained weight but it seems my stomach is protruding, hiding it at work is becoming quite a challenge.
- Being pregnant with a baby on the move is definitely different than the first time.
- Both are doing great!
Our Baby is the size of a Raspberry
- Is extremely jointy, with fingers and toes and elbows and knees that s/he can bend and wiggle.
- Almost doesn’t have a tail anymore.
- I am so so so so tired
- Fat
- Exhausted and having trouble breathing
- in bed by 8:30 or 9 every night
- I actually feel very similar to the way I did last time. I am so glad I kept track of everything so I can compare, makes me feel better knowing that this feeling will end and SOON!
- They are doing great. Eric is pulling pretty much all the weight around the house as far as house work is concerned. Any energy I do have I want to use playing with Ryan who is allllll over the place and into everything. He is soooo fun!
Week 9 December 18th- 24th
OLIVE!
- Has fingers and toes and eyelids and ears.
- External boy and girl-parts are present, but won’t be really distinguishable for another couple weeks.
- I am so so so so tired
- Fat
- Exhausted and having trouble breathing
- Nautious but not puking
- no energy and spend a lot of time on the couch which is not conducive to it being Christmas week
- It's crazy because other than being tired I don't even realize I am pregnant. It's hard to just sit around and soak it up with a little man on the loose!! I think this pregnancy is going to fly by!
- Before babies I was never affected by the temperature in a room or house, now I am never comfortable. It can be 3 degrees outside and I am burning up or 80 degrees and I am freezing. Last time I just remember being hot all the time, now I am totally across the board at all times and never just comfortable.
- Good! Everyone is super excited for Ryan's first Christmas so that is the main focus in the King household these days!
Week 10 December 25th- 31st
Baby is the size of a prune and will officially be a fetus at the end of this week!! Currently over an inch long but knowing me I bet over 2 INCHES long, in my stomach!
Me:
- I am feeling great, of course that could be because I am off work for the entire week and it's my favorite time of the year but yeah buddy that energy level is coming back!
- Still feeling fat and nothing fits, I am so annoyed
- my boobs are growing, lucky Eric!
- Feeling like a bit of an emotional train wreck
- Other than chasing around the little man and get tired much quicker than normal Brooke I would say things are about back to normal! Except my house is a disaster and guess what I don't care!
- Excellente! Ryan is sledding, Eric is relaxing, we are having a great week off spending so much time with family!
Lemon or Lime with a twist mmmm Corona!!
- No more bean and nut comparisons and have moved onto fruit. Next stop, small household appliances!
- Is officially a fetus, and is downright human-baby looking with non-webbed fingers and toes, although s/he needs a lot more cooking and fattening up.
- Is moving and kicking and dancing and even hiccuping, not that I feel it
Me:
- More of the same
- Other than chasing around the little man and get tired much quicker than normal Brooke I would say things are about back to normal! Except my house is a disaster and guess what I don't care!
Excellente! Ryan is sledding, Eric is relaxing, we are having a great week off spending so much time with family!
Week 12 January 8th- 14th
and we're a plum
- This little baby has every structure needed to survive as a baby, although everything needs much more maturing, it's the perfect little miniature human being!
- Totally totally showing, so yeah I told work, because I had to break out the maternity clothes, so weird to be back in them, but my maternity clothes wardrobe is MUCH more fashionable than my reg clothes. The whole waist-butt-thingh region is totally expanding
- Energy is back, not so tired anymore, and this week has totally flown by with everything going on. We lost my grandfather so last weekend was spent spending time with him, then we had his funeral, and this past weekend was spent getting ready for Ryan's 1st birthday party- have barely had time to take a breath!
- Here it is, yes I remembered to take a pic, my first Round 2 bump pic and yes that is my new leg attachment down there at the bottom too!
My Boys:
Ryan is doing amazing. He is ONE and I can't believe it but he is so much fun! Eric is also doing well and has been such help and support this week for one crazy emotional preggo wife!!
