The First place we lived together was 3713!!!  The place I lived with everyone haha!!  Eric and I had been dating for a few months I think like 7 or 8, why waste any time right, but we were doing the long distance thing the entire time.  Finally I guess he got sick of it, called me at work one day, told me he quit his job and he was moving back up to VA.  I said where are you living and he said can I move in with you.  I asked the girls and what do you know a new roomie for us!!  Living in group houses definitely puts a different dynamic on relationships and this isn't the only time we did, also the last months leading up to the wedding.  Both times we had a blast though!

As for a picture, I don't think I have a picture of the house itself or even Eric and I with the house, but goodness gracious do I have some party pics from the day of awesomeness!!!

Marriage is Awesome!!  We both actually really enjoy being married!!  What's not to love, we have a blast together, we make each other laugh all of the time, we make a fantastic team, and waking up next to your best friend every morning is the greatest feeling.  Obviously we have our moments where we wish there was that eject button and we could temporarily dismiss the other person from the planet but at the end of the day we realize we love each other and while we disagree we are always on the same team.  I think most of marriage is easy so far at least.  It's true what they say about marriage...I really do love Eric more and more each day!!

And today a very special HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my amazing HUSBAND!!!!!  Love you!!!

Our honeymoon was awesome, we had such a BLAST!!!  We met some amazing people, some we still keep in touch with and had a great time celebrating us and our marriage whooo hooo!!  We stayed at an Excellence Resort in Playa Mujeres Mexico.  The resort was stunning.  Absolutely gorgeous views, awesome food, and fantastic service and amentities.  

Here is us when we arrived at our Honeymoon suite.  These rooms were soooo romantic, from the decorations, to the special hideaway cabinent that connected from the outside and inside the room so technically you could stay in you room the entire time and never see another face.

 

We spent a lot of time just relaxing on the beach or in the pool.  After a big wedding this was exactly what we needed.  I don't think we made up on the other side of 9:30 the first couple nights.

After a few days of quality rest and relaxation we decided to do an excursion.  Neither of us had been zip lining and both really wanted to give it a ride.  We went to this place called Seltevetica where we did the whole zip lining thing.  What an experience that was, sooo cool!!!  Of course I didn't have my camera with me zipping from tree house to tree house.  After landing safely on the ground we rented these things which we got to ride to our very own water thing, there is definitely a name of this but I can't think of it now.

 

This was so much fun, we got to fly off the "cliff" hanging on to this bar for dear life and then let go in the middle of the water, so much fun!!

 

 

With our honeymoon package came breakfast in bed, we moved that to our little porch, it's so nice to be catered to haha!!

 

And one of my most favorite parts was the romantic dinner on the beach, also part of the package.  This was amazing, so peaceful, right on the ocean, waves pounding on the shore, and a sax player serenading us.

 

 

As I mentioned we met some great couples, all sharing the same wedding day.  It was so fun to celebrate with them as well and hear all about their weddings.  Everyone is from across the US so it was just really neat.  We spent a lot of days together in the pool, most weren't quite this rowdy....

And we even made it out past 11pm and hit the club one night, here are all the WIFEY'S!!!

We could not have asked for more on our honeymoon, we had an amazing week and hope to return to this resort one day and experience the Excellence Resorts in other locations!

Our Wedding Day was amazing and filled with "favorite parts" from the beginning of the weekend all the way through.  From time with my best girl friends, to visiting family and meeting new family, being with everyone we love so much, and most of all marrying the guy of my dreams, it's hard to just choose one but I have managed to do it!  On your wedding weekend the bride and groom are pulled in so many different directions the entire time, the first time we saw each other on our wedding day was at the end of the aisle and during the reception we spent the majority of our time celebrating with everyone.  My favorite moment is right after we walked down the aisle together as husband and wife and we have a very few short moments alone together to celebrate just the two of us!  It was amazing and I will always remember this time!!!

 But then there was this part which was sooo cool and unique and fun and just awesome.

The cake was delicious, from what I hear.  We did one layer strawberry shortcake and one layer spice cake (for the fall), and then our top layer which we saved for our 1 year anniversary was a chocolate swirl.  Even 365 days later that cake was the bomb!!!  I was terrified to sink a fork into it thinking ewwww gross, but to my amazement it was fresh and delish!!!

Our reception was at the same place as the ceremony, Potomac Point Winery!  I LOVED the ball room, thought it was super cozy and romantic overlooking the vineyard.    We were married on Saturday November 7, 2009...so crazy it has almost been 2 years, time is a flying.
We also had an amazing DJ so the dance floor was pretty much jamin' the entire evening.  MVWG as we call it (most valuable wedding guest) goes to Mr Wiggins as he performed the worm ha :)

Ohhhh accessories, the fun stuff!!!  First off shoes, I went with Ballerina flats, yeah yeah, if you had the mile long walk down a vineyard you would have too...plus between you and me I didn't want to be taller than Eric in our wedding pics, so flats it was!!  Of course I wore a Virginia Tech garter, OBVI!!!

 

I wore a bracelet from aunt Patty, something borrowed, very blingy!!

My Necklace and Earrings as well as the necklace and earrings I gave to my lovely maids were from www.cinderellaspumpkin.com, love that store.

 

My Veil was from a website, no idea what that was but the veil was $15.00 with the extra perls to match my dress so naturally I ordered 2 just in case!

I LOVED my dress, I felt like a princess just as I always imagined on my wedding day.  I went to a friends wedding a few years prior to mine and just loved her pick ups and had that set in my mind since.   I loved the details on the top and the bling if you will, made me feel sparkly!!!

Well this might have been the easiest part of the whole wedding planning thing.  About 5 seconds after I said "Yes I will Marry you " we knew the entire wedding would be purple purple purple everywhere!!!  I love purple and always have!  Also, wedding being at a winery it all just kinda made sense.  Accent color was green, loved it!!!  and loved my flowers!!

So if you know me you know how obsessed I am with pictures.   We looked long and hard to get the right photographer.  I chose When the Moments Count which turned out to split up the week before my wedding leaving me with not my favorite wedding pictures ever taken.  But the engagement pics, I loved those!!  Eric and I dressed in blue, grabbed Cal and Rock of course, and met up with our photographers along the Rapahannock River near Fredericksburg.  About 5 minutes in we were really wishing we had a few shots prior to the photo shoot.  It's a bit ackward.  Nonetheless we got some great pics!!

Eric and I had done some looking around one day wayyyy before we got engaged, like probably a year so when it came down to it, he picked it out all by himself!!  It's a 3 stone, middle one is bigger than the two smaller ones on the side.  I had never looked at a 3 stone ring before but I LOVE my engagement ring.  The 3 stones make the whole shabang look bigger which is great for my long chunky fingers haha, fillin' in the space.  Here's the best pic I could find of just my engagement ring...

For our wedding bands, I did another thick band, same as my engagement ring with 7 more diamond, love some bling!!!  Eric did a platinum ring with two indents on either side.  Both of our rings are engraved with our wedding date...sooo cute :)

Our proposal was amazing.  It was Valentines day, which Eric had enlightened me many times prior to this that Valentines Day was such a cheesy day to propose.  So was I expecting it today, not so much.  Anywho, Eric had reached out to Laura (the event planner at Potomac Point Winery- which will end up being our wedding venue) about coming in on Valentines Day and proposing.  We get there, Laura pretends to have no idea who we are, she got us each a glass of wine, and took us on a tour of the winery!

We then made way to the upstairs portion of the winery, the ballroom, the bathrooms, the sitting/hanging out area, and then there were these stairs, leading to what I found out later..."proposal tower."  Apparently we aren't the only people who used this tower, and actually about a month later we ran into the couple that was in there before us, thanks guys for leaving the candles lit!  So we go up these winding stairs to this little area that is all lit up with candles and over-looking the entire vineyard.  I was looking out the window, I turn around, and there he is down on one knee...

I said YES and we were both bright red!!!  Yayyyy we're engaged, this was such a surreal moment!!!

 

 

 

WOW that was just awesome, I could not have thought of a better proposal myself, and as I mentioned Potomac Point is where we ended up also having our wedding.

We aren't done yet though.  So we walk around the vineyard and call all our families and of course everyone is shocked (at least I thought they were), but really they were ALL together at Patty's house.  As we pull out of the vineyard and make our way to 95 Eric says we have some time before dinner let's go by Patty's on the way and give her the news and show her the ring!!!  This wasn't a surprise to me, as we always go by Patty's to visit whenever we can, and she is kinda responsible for this whole Eric and Me thing.

I walk into Patty's house and what do you know...ALL of our family is standing there yelling surprise!!!  What a feeling that was to be able to share such an amazing event with everyone we love so much!!!!
