An Absolutely wonderful weekend celebrating Courtney and Nick!!!  Everything was perfect, even the weather held off for the fabulous weekend!!!  So thankful I could be a part of your special day, wish you both a life time of happiness and a lot of cookouts on our decks!!!

Bridesmaids

After seeing the hot new movie, Bridesmaids, and a great friend of mine getting married in about a month weddings and bridesmaids have consumed much of my attention.  Being a bridesmaid isn't just about planning a wild bachelorette party, a shower to remember, making long lasting memories, and remembering everything the bride forgets on her big day.  It's more than that, it's about standing next to that person on the biggest day of their lives, and being asked to do so....well that's one of the most honorable questions a friend can ask.

Being a bridesmaid is an honor, of course until the bride goes bat $hit craaaazy, then it's a job.  Lucky for me, I haven't witnessed the super crazy off the wall bride yet and all of my bridesmaid duties to this point have been fabulous!!  I love being a bridesmaid actually and it really does mean the absolute world to me when I am asked to be in a wedding.  Some friends sent flowers, some sent cards, I sent cookies, some simply just asked!  Lets take a trip down memory lane....

 

First comes Flower Girl, then comes Bridesmaid...

1986 My first trip down the aisle was as the Flower Girl for my cousins Rhonda and Tim's Wedding~winter wedding, love that!!!!

 

 1988 With my Grandma Before Flower Girl Duties call in my aunt Patty and uncle George's Wedding!!!  

Lets take a trip down bridesmaid lane...My OH my have the trends changed in dresses and styles over the years...check these out.

1993 My first trip down the aisle as a bridesmaid was at my aunt Jennifer's wedding .  Yes I agree the bangs (mine) are terrible....

2000 My first "Friend" wedding...Little Ria took the plunge early and has now been married for many many years and has 4 absolutely beautiful babies!!!  Periwinkle ahhh I LOVE it!!!

 

2007 Lauren went with a classy Marilyn Monroe look for her special day.  I just love the color!!!

2008 Jill chose a excellent beach wedding color for her maids.  The Tangerine Orange from Jcrew fit perfectly with the blue and green of the sky and ocean.

 2009 Julie got married at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club which is one of the most beautiful venues out there.  She had an amazing laid back/fancy, beachy but not on the beach, classy gorgeous wedding.  She chose yellow for her bridesmaids, of course a favorite among those who tan easily!!

Also in 2009 was our big day.  We did the vineyard wedding which conveniently goes perfectly with my favorite color purple.  I just love my bridesmaids!!

2011 And next up is Courtneys!  Headed back to the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club for another fabulous wedding in aqua!!  Here's a sneak peak:

I'm on a boat!!!! In St Michaels!!

Is there really any better way to spend your last "big" outing then on a boat with your best friends and some bubbly????  I think not!!  That is exactly how we sent Court off into MRS-hood!!!

St Michaels, let me tell ya...soooo cute!!  Love the town, love the house we stayed at, like beautiful!!!  First things first, the stuff, I love stuff and you just can't go wrong with a koozie and flippie flopping luggage tags (thanks Colleen!!!)

 

Alright!!!  Let's get this party started!!  Of course nooooo bachelorette party would be complete without perfectly pretty and completely inappropriate CAKES!!!!  Julie is amazing and so talented...needless to say these were delicious and a HUGE hit!!

Friday night was the perfect girls night!!  We hung out in a circle by the bay gabbed it up, ate some food, and had a great time catching up with those we hadn't seen in a while.

 

 

 

 

Wine and more wine and more wine of course turned into quite the fabbbbulous dance party...

 

 

 

Saturday was "the big day/night" as we refer to it in the bachelorette world.  We kept the cheesy game minimal but of course couldn't resist giving the future Mrs Totten a brand new underwear drawer.  Some of these lovely pieces has other parts to complete the "outfit" which were amazing and provided quite the hillarity!!!  Some pictures just aren't made for blogs, sorry!

By afternoon we're on a boat!!!  Jill of course fell into the role as first mate real quick...

 

We had an absolute BLAST!!!

 I must say the bachelorette party was a big hit in this town!!!

WOW WOW WOW is all of I have to say about this wedding!!  Everything was absolutely breath taking, of course when you have a wedding on the white sand with clear water and one of the most beautiful brides I have ever seen nothing could be less than a fairy tale!!  Eric and I felt so lucky to be there to witness these two love birds tie the knot!!!  A few snaps below...you can find more wedding pics at Perfectly Planned.

There comes Julia!!!  The maid of honor, she was soooo purty for her sister's wedding.  The bridesmaids dresses were sooo beautiful and flattering on all of the girlies.

Here comes the bride!!!!  Escorted by her dad, Mr Bobby Wiggins!!!

My Favorite part, the grooms face when he sees the bride...looks to be a very happy and excited groom, it's priceless and so sweet...but as the father of the groom said when he sat down after seeing Kathleen..."doesn't get much better than that."

Having a LIVE band is the greatest thing ever!!!  Not only because they add a TON of energy to a wedding BUT come the end of the night....

To finish off this fairy tale weekend the Wiggins's hosted a brunch, really should have chosen a better view, don't ya think?!?!?  Sooo beautiful.

Awesome awesome awesome wedding and night!!!  Congrats again Mr and Mrs Carr, hope yall are having a great time in Key West continuing the celebration!!!
