and we're one month until your 2nd birthday! HOLY MOLY!! All of the signs that I have a two year old are there and are STRONG, yes every last thing "they" say about 2 year olds are so so so true!! Not to worry though I am soooooo loving this stage. Your personality SHINES through and you are just an incredible little man. I love to talk to you. You speak full sentences, tell me how you are feeling, what you want, and of course tell me NO a lot. But when you say YES thats my favorite. I also LOVE when you count to 3...one...two....FREEEEEE, it is just the cutest!
You are in size 5 diapers, eat everything, but on different days hate the thing you loved the day before. Have gone to the potty a few times at daycare. Still in your crib and hope I am still writing that a year from now, and sleeping awesome! You take one nap usually during the day in the afternoon at various times. You LOVE your milk. You say Devin is your best friend but you have so much fun with all your little play groups! You LOVE trucks, are obsessed with Mickey, wake up asking for the phone-meaning daddy's iphone to play your games, run allllll over the place and are a super duper fast little sucker, and most importantly are the sweetest little guy there ever was. You say "I love you momma" and my heart melts every single time and I have actually even gotten you to sit still in my lap cuddling for more than 20 seconds this month, it's been great. You watched your first movie, Iceage, with Caro and split a bowl of popcorn with her. You are really into closing doors and like to hide in the pantry, then you get scared and scream at the top of your lungs! You love to dance, and no matter what you are doing when you hear music you drop it and start dancing. This month you have really been able to play on you own also, watching the developing little man is just the coolest thing. You got your third hair cut and you look like a boy. Not sure how I feel about that, half of me just wants you to be a baby the rest of your life and the other half is just LOVING this toddler that I have a relationship with.
You are hilarious and love making funny faces. When someone is holding Emily you tell them where they can put her down so they can play with you, it's so funny. You are SO smart, happy, cute, fighsty, and so much more!! We love you more than any words could possibly describe!!

22 Months
Ry Ry Ry Ry-
This month you have started taking your little words and now forming complete sentences. You told us a knock knock joke in the car one day, it's just crazy how fast you catch on and how smart you are. When you are trying to explain yourself I swear I just see the wheels turning up there in the ole noggin. You are growing up way to fast, I do love watching all the changes, but I think pretty soon I am just going to be left wondering what on earth happened and where the time went.
Let's see!! This month has not been all roses like the rest. For some reason mommy is your least favorite person, Grandma and Papa are by far your favorite, and daddy falls somewhere in the middle. You ignore me on purpose when you know I am talking to you and you just go on about your business like I'm not even talking. One day when I picked you up from daycare you started crying and asked Mrs Lynda if you could stay there for the night :( We still take our bath's every night together and that is literally the only time you will hang out with me. I know it's just a phase and at some point you will like me again hah!
You definitely know how to play whoever you are with to get whatever you want and throw a huge tantrum when you are denied. You are so sweet and funny when you want to be, hillarious even. You love to be the center of attention, dance every time you hear any sort of music, can sing your ABC's, count to 10, and explain and communicate basically anything you want. You have memorized most of your books in the regular roation and flip to your favorite page during bedtime reading. We read a lot of books, it's as if you know the book is coming to an end and start saying the next one before we are even done, see SMART!!! You also decided you like jumping on the bed and now don't like Gabba and can't live without Mickey! Oh and you LOVE laundry! Just the putting the clothes in part, but it's so funny.
The holidays are going to be so much fun!! Every time you see any Christmas decoration, Santa, anything you say "Chismas!!!!!" I love your passion for things. I love watching you try to figure things out, and most of the time you do!
This month you went number 1 in the potty!! Mrs Lynda asked for pull ups so I think thats what you are wearing over there. You also take naps on your little Thomas the Train chair/couch pull out thing, sleep in the crib at home :) You love Devin and Ariana so much, your friends at daycare and want to be just like them!
Everyday you become more and more a little boy and more and more a 2 year old.

21 months
Dear Ry Ry,
You are just an absolutely amazing kiddo. I see everything that comes with the terrible two's coming right down the path but when those temper tantrums and screaming episodes aren't occurring, you are just the most awesome little thing ever.
Milestones- you can count to 10, we say 1, you say 2345678910- just so smart. You say "I love you mommy" and I seriously can't get enough of that. You know please, thank you, and you're welcome but don't say those as much as you should- we'll get there. You hate sharing, but who wouldn't, I still have problems in that area. Size 5 diapers, size 6 light up shoes- they're a BIG hit, size 24 and some 2T clothes, sleeping well although have had some night terrors this month at 3,4,5 am- typically right after Emily has been up, can't help but think you guys plan this!! You have eaten everything, what you like from day to day changes drastically, and when you don't like something or decide you are done you throw everything all over the kitchen floor, it's just lovely. You waive and say hi to everyone everywhere we go and people love it! You are obsessssssed with Gabba. From the moment you wake up until you leave the house and when you return until dinner you are constantly "Gabbbbbbbbba" I think I could recite every episode myself. But hey you know what you love it and I can't help but to think it has been teaching you some of this stuff you know, like Octagons you were telling me about today.
You started daycare this month and are doing amazing. Mrs Lynda takes you to the park and does all types of awesome projects with you. Things like paint, play doh, lots of coloring, made a ghost, and this cute little project all about you and how you are so special. Mrs Lynda has a ton of Thomas the Train around which you love love love! From what she says you are an angel, hilarious and keep her laughing, and you play very nicely with Devin who is her 3 year old son, so that's neat!
This month you have decided you hate your stroller and want to walk, I mean RUN everywhere. One day I took you out of the stroller and you actually walk/ran over 2 miles, totally crazy but you would not get back in the stroller. When you want something you will take the hand of whoever is around and available and take them where you need them to be, just so funny!! You love to pop around the corner and say "peek a boo," love giving hugs and kisses, and still obsessed with Grandma.
Ryan you are awesome, fun, cool, amazing to watch everyday. You definitely keep us laughing constantly and wondering where the heck you learned all these things you know. You are so super sweet, especially when tired. Or when I pick you up from Mrs Lindas and as soon as you hear my voice you SCREAM MOMMMMMMY and then don't let go of my leg. Your smile is contagious, your voice is the sweetest thing, your personality keeps us on our toes. Everyday is full, and happy, and different then the last. Everyday with you is a blast (at least most) and we love you so stinkin much!!!

20 months
Hey BUG!!!
My little boo!! You are seriously mommy's little man, although you do seem to be clinging more to daddy this month :( We just love you so so much and think you are the coolest little kid there ever was.
We went to the beach again this month and you are just amazing. You spent basically all day building your castles or playing in the water. While in the water on your boogie board you would say "jumpin the waves, jumpin the waves, jumping the waves" it was just hillarious. You LOVE the ocean and were definitely out further that any kid your age needs to be but you kept saying farther farther and of course you get your way! You are so stinkin cute when you are happy and having fun. We spent a few days with the Wahlquists, you love those kids, especially Kaitlyn and have some serious love for her, it's so funny!
Daddy took you to a play group with your new day care and you did you first craft. You made a puppy out of a paper plate but of course you had ripped all of the parts off by the time you got home. Mommy is SUPER nervous about going back to work. I have had the best time home with you for the past 10 weeks. You are at such a fun age. You really want to learn everything, you are so curious, and so happy, and so nieve about anything that goes on in the real world. It's amazing to watch a little human with such a clean slate and they way they learn how the world works, your imagination is incredible.
You are still super smart and way beyond your age. You repeat everything but then actually apply it in the real world. For instance as we drove to the beach, you saw cows, you say cow and moooo etc, when we pulled into the beach you talk about your boogie board and about the dolphins! You can count to 1-2-3 and 3-2-1 and you know what comes after every number through 10 but can't count that high yourself. You are obsessed with Yo Gabba Gabba, it's kinda become a problem, but definitely works on long trips!
You are a great great great kid. And so super sweet and cuddly. Don't get me wrong, we have definitely been going through a terrible temper tantrum stage and you definitely have a very hard time hearing the word "no." Of course you get your way pretty much all the time, so definitely our fault. We have two weeks left together and I am so excited to spend every minute with you and am so sad to leave you. I am so so happy we have had this time together. You and your sister are everything to us and we love you more than anything!

19 Months
Ryan,
It seems like every time I turn around I am writing you another monthly letter. Time is going way too fast, but like usual I am trying to pack it all in and we are living life to the fullest. We have done so much this summer and I have loved every second of it!! You are my little buddy, like the coolest, smartest, funniest, little guy ever. You keep me laughing all day long. You have a zillion words and we almost have conversations, at least we know what each other is talking about. You amaze people that meet you and you say hi and show them all of your stuff and tell them about all of your animals and trucks and little sistur and then say byebye and give everyone kisses. When we were leaving Wegmans the other day you said "byebye" to everyone on the way out the door!
You are huge!! When Emily was born all of the sudden you were all grown up. You are so big and grown up it is crazy, sad, exciting, and hillarious!! You are taking one nap a day after lunch-sometimes for 3 hours, size 5 diapers, eating has been a bit more picky this month, you have taken up sucking on pacifiers haha and playing in the jungle gym mat thinggy. You know everyone's names, especially all your lady friends. You always point to Ginny and Aubrey's pictures on the fridge and say their names. You know who everyone belong with, when we say Whitney you say "Galen." You love Gabba and tell us when you want to watch it and talk about Muno and Tootie allllll the time. You get a little extra tv these days, easy way for me to keep you in the same room when I am feeding Emily.
You are also in a stage of testing the limits. We don't say no to much but one of them is standing on the furniture. You really only do it when you know we are watching. Sometimes you will stand on the couch when I turn away and be peeking around the corner waiting for me to see you. You definitely have your little temper tantrums when told "no." And your new thing when I say no is to say "gwwwwama," it's very hard not to laugh at you when trying to discipline. We did start time out, you have spent about 15 seconds in your little stool a few times and laugh at us the entire trip to the seat.
You are a great big brother, ask to hold her from time to time, ignore her most of the time, but when you do notice you love to give her hugs. You always find pacifiers on the floor, chew on them for a while, then bring them to me for sister.
We are so so so so so lucky to have such an amazing little kid. You really are like awesome and wonderful and all of those things!

18 months
Dear my little Ryan,
You are now a year and a half old, 18 months, growing way to fast etc etc. I will know your height and weight next week when we take you to the doc and will update this at that time. Size 5 diapers, eating everything, drinking milk and water and an occasional sip of whatever someone else is drinking, love love love flavor ices and ask for them constantly. This month you had lots of different babysitters! Madi came up from Richmond for a week and stayed with you at moms house. You guys had fun riding bikes, going to the pool, playing in the front yard, and going for lots of walks. Melissa came and stayed with us the second week in our new house to take care of you! She took off a week from work just for the chance to get to spend time with you for the week and we are so grateful! And we totally lucked out that the family "Vick" is babysitting for went on vacation the week of July 4th and was able to come back and stay with you again, you love all your cousins!
Lets see, you love playing outside, you have a water park and a baby pool on the deck and spend as much time out there as possible. You also love going for walks and car rides! You have continued to expand your vocabulary which is way beyond your age as it is, you are learning colors now and your favorite is "geen." You are well OBSESSED with Mickey and Mickey Mouse Club House. You dance through the whole thing. Actually you dance everytime you hear anything that resembles music including the ice cream man coming to the pool. Oh yeah and you love the pool! We went there a few times this month. The pool is great it has a beach access so you just walk right in, waterfalls which you love but then don't like when they splash on your face. We took lunch up there one day and you ate a whole sandwich cut into 4's. You are just all grown up, it is so exciting/sad/entertaining, etc. You really only stay a baby for a few months! Your hair is still growing, is bright blonde, and getting curly in the back. Dad wants to cut it, I have held out, but the fact that you sweat every time you ride in the car or do anything, I might be coming around!
This biggest new thing this month, is you are a BIG BROTHER!!! You are absolutely wonderful with your little sister. I was so worried/scared to hurt your feelings with another baby but you are doing awesome! You love her and bring her blankets so she doesn't get cold. When we take her diaper off you take yours off by yourself. You love touching her hand and rocking her in her little rocky thing. You give her kisses every time you have to go to sleep and she is the first person, besides grandma that you ask about every morning. I can't wait until I am fully recovered so we can play for the rest of my maternity leave.
You are the coolest, funniest, most adorable little man I have ever met and you make us so happy and grateful to be your parents. I can't wait to get you out of your crib every morning just to see what the day ahead holds. We love you so so so much and are so proud of you!!

You climb on everything, flip everything over and climb on the other side! We started a little gym class with you this month which is awesome! Your little friends Ginny and Maddie are in the class and you have so much fun! Imagine a big huge room coated with mats, perfect and you take full advantage running full speed and climbing on everything there as well. You love to read book, favorite of the week is the "Tractor" one and if we leave it upstairs during the day thats a big no no and it gets read at least 6 times before bed. Bed time has been going well, still bath then bed, bed time is more around 8-8:30 these days, happy summer to you!

16 Months
Dear Ryan-
Today you turn 16 months. You are such a little man now. You have TON of personality, you get mad when you don't get your way, REAL mad when you are told no, REALLY REALLY mad when we make you come inside, etc etc. You talk so much and even answer questions. For instance when we ask "How are you today?" you said "Good!" You know the sounds a cow, sheep, and a duck make. Your vocabulary is very impressive.
This past month has been pretty crazy and inconsistent as far as where you are and who is watching you on a day to day basis but you have soldiered through and been very accommodating for the most part and flexible. Victoria started with you today and she is in for 5 weeks, hopefully you will feel secure and get into a good routine!
You eat a ton, LOVE cake, but your eating has definitely changed. You only want EXACTLY what we are putting in our mouths, and not really a fan of the vegetables anymore, but are obsessed with fruit. You like to use your own fork or spoon or both and get so proud of yourself when you get the food onto the fork and into the mouth! You also like to feed us your food, so generous! You still haven't had juice just milk and water but you love my seltzer water with lemon and lime - go figure, I think you just like the straw!
We turned your car seat around this month, we figured having your legs up over your head against the back seat just wasn't comfortable anymore. While I think you like being able to look around more and out the window I think bottom line is you just don't like being in your car seat or doing anything for extended periods of time anymore.
LOVES- outside, bubbles, other kids, cars, planes, being chased around the island, grandma, balls, doing everything yourself, ready books especially about the 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed, and climbing on everything!
You are such a sweet heart, you love to cuddle and give hugs, you give kisses and blow kisses. You are so funny and we could just watch you and laugh for hours. You are one amazing little boy!

For instance when we ask "How are you today?" you said "Good!" You know the sounds a cow, sheep, and a duck make. Your vocabulary is very impressive.
This past month has been pretty crazy and inconsistent as far as where you are and who is watching you on a day to day basis but you have soldiered through and been very accommodating for the most part and flexible. Victoria started with you today and she is in for 5 weeks, hopefully you will feel secure and get into a good routine!
You eat a ton, LOVE cake, but your eating has definitely changed. You only want EXACTLY what we are putting in our mouths, and not really a fan of the vegetables anymore, but are obsessed with fruit. You like to use your own fork or spoon or both and get so proud of yourself when you get the food onto the fork and into the mouth! You also like to feed us your food, so generous! You still haven't had juice just milk and water but you love my seltzer water with lemon and lime - go figure, I think you just like the straw!
We turned your car seat around this month, we figured having your legs up over your head against the back seat just wasn't comfortable anymore. While I think you like being able to look around more and out the window I think bottom line is you just don't like being in your car seat or doing anything for extended periods of time anymore.
LOVES- outside, bubbles, other kids, cars, planes, being chased around the island, grandma, balls, doing everything yourself, ready books especially about the 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed, and climbing on everything!
You are such a sweet heart, you love to cuddle and give hugs, you give kisses and blow kisses. You are so funny and we could just watch you and laugh for hours. You are one amazing little boy!

15 months
Sweet baby boy!!
We had your 15 month appointment this morning! Everything looked great, you loved all the instruments and got to play with the tongue depressor. Then you threw a huge temper tantrum, doc said that was normal but that we needed to show you who was boss, and can start doing timeout for 60 seconds. I laughed! I am sure you will just sit still for 60 seconds, we'd be lucky for 6 ha! You weighed 25lbs - 58th percentile and were 32.25 inches - 88th percentile, head is still holding strong at 100%. She was impressed with your words and how many you knew as you went right down the list with her and blew her a kiss, and alllllll your teeth!
Words!!! All of the sudden you make sense and really do talk all of the time. You always have made noise all the time but now you really try to communicate, so cool!! Of course you still say "pane" (plane) and point to the plane flying over a thousand times a day and for those big ones they get a "whhhhhoooooaaaaaaaaaa," "Occo" (Rocco), "Cowie" (Callie), "Down" (down, up, in, and out), "Done," "Uh-Oh," "Haywey" (Haley- you spent a lot of time at Gma's this month), "fish" for gold fish, "car," "bird," "Twee" (for Tree), and in the airport while you were waving to everyone you went up to a little girl waving and said "hi" it was hillarious.
Walking all over and pretty much done with crawling unless you are crawling under something and playing hide-n-seek. You also climb, on everything! You climb from object to object, you climb into things that aren't meant for you to be in and half the times you don't even fit in, then you get stuck and repeat! You wave and blow kisses, know "more" in sign language, and really just whine for everything you don't know how to say which is A LOT! You are so playful and such a happy little guy!! Always smiling and laughing and joking around! You love to mess with Grandpa, you go to him scream then go away then go back and pretend to go back and turn away...you two are so cute!!! Mike sure does have a sensitive side under mr tough guy!!
You also have become super independent. You say down all the time literally every time we are holding you. You yell, scream, and put your head on the floor when you don't get your way, holy moly, #paybacksarehell can you say temper tantrum. And when you are walking on concrete and I try to hold your hand, you just push it away, wellllll alright then!
You spent a good bit of time with Gma this month, she took you to the play place at the mall where you had a blast, she sent me pictures all day, I loved seeing that big smile on your face. She also of course went out and bought you all new super cute little boys clothes for summer. You also have this obsession with her, like she is your most favorite person ever! As soon as you see her you are soooo happy and want to be no where except in her arms, and then when she leaves you cry for at least 30 minutes even in the bath, so that kinda hurts my feelings.
We also went to Atlantis this month, you LOVED it and loved all the fish!! You loved Brett and Taylor, they played with you alllll the time! You loved all the water, took 3 hour naps in your stroller by the pool, slept great, weren't really on a schedule and were basically a perfect little angel. You still appear to be laid back and go with the flow, awesome!!
Sleeping has been great, 11-12 hours every night. You go to bed sometime between 7:30-8:30 and sleep till 6:30-7:30, not a peep!! You sleep with you two little bears, one of which I have been trying to get you to become obsessed with and I didn't think it was working until Isabella tried to take it from you, #proudmomma!!! haha it's the little things right, better go buy 20 of those to have on hand!
Easter- your second Easter, it's so cool to watch you kinda get it!! We dyed easter eggs and you loved it!! You loved clicking the spoon around in the coffee mug and making all that racket and then of course you loved just sticking your whole hand in the dye and grabbing the egg...needless to say a few of your eggs didn't make it but you had a blast and it was so cool/cute to watch!
You are super entertaining and so funny, we love spending time with you and just watching to see what comes next, because it could be literally anything! You are a great little boy and we love you so much and are loving this age!!!

14 Months
My BIG boy,
I literally can not believe it's been 14 months, where has the time gone!??!?! This has been an awesome month and you are just the coolest little kid.
Got your second molar on March 8th, top left one, same side as the bottom one! During the month you weighed 25 pounds, we had to go back to the doc and make sure your ear infection cleared up. You seem sooooo much bigger every couple days. Sometimes when you are in your high chair I feel like I don't even recognize you.
FOOD! OMG you love food! Your normal day is waffle, banana, and cheerios by the HAND full in the morning, fruit (strawberries and blueberries) or veggies (cucumbers and tomatoes) mid morning, lunch is usually chicken (I boil is so it shreds easy), green beans, and backed potato or mac-n-cheese, however if we have left overs from the night before sometimes you get those, yogurt and more cheerios in the afternoon, and for dinner you get whatever we are eating without the spice! You eat everything and a ton of it, you also had your first happy meal- hamburger and french fries, a little fast food on the weekend never hurt anybody right?!?! Blast from the past, hamburger helper is a huge hit for all of us, yummmm!!! When you're done eating you waive your hands in the air and say "Done/Down." "Done/Down" also means up and out, haha, and you have learned "more" in sign language.
Milestone alert, Milestone alert- you are WALKING, February 18th took 8 steps and it's been more frequent ever since.. You are very wobbly and prefer to crawl, but yes you can walk and make it across the room doing it.
Fun events! Ginny's 1st birthday- sooo cute, I love seeing you two together! Mom's group at Ginny's was so fun, I can't believe how much you have all grown and have these personalities now, it's adorable. We also celebrated Aiden's 1st birthday!
When you hear an airplane it's an epic event around here. You point, you go look out the window, and you say "WHOOOOOA," It's adorable and very frequent since the airport is in our backyard. You are obsessed with outside, like won't come in, and when you do you stand at the back door and whine until I let you go back outside. Daddy put your little car together that Whit and Galen gave you for your bday so we have been able to enjoy a few walks in that.
We still take baths together, and I still love it so much! We splash and play and then wash and Daddy puts you to bed while I finish my bath! You go right to sleep, we are so lucky (this month that is)!!! You conk out no matter where you are and what you are doing at 7:30 on the dot, we are trying to push that till later by taking advantage of the time change but have only been successful until about 8, you sleep until 6:30-7 each morning, no complaints here! At daycare you have been mostly on two naps this month, on the weekends you have really only done 1 and most of the time it's the morning one and then you are up the rest of the day!!
Size 4 diapers, size 18-24 months clothes, you are very chatty but other than Mom, Momma, Dad, Daddddddddy (which you say ALL the time), Wocko and Down we can't really make out all the words. You are hillarious, point with your little finger to everything especially our mouths you are fascinated with mouths.
You are amazing and we love you so so so much!!!

13 Months
Ryan-
Since your birthday we converted our "dining room" into your very own play room. You love it and have actually been able to entertain yourself from time to time. You love shooting hoops on your new basketball hoop and clap every time you get it in there. You also love your truck, actually get mad at us when we try to take you out. We are all very excited for nice weather so you can play in it more! You have so many new toys and love them all and go from one to the other and back and forth, so cute! You also love the fisher price ABC and Counting apps on our phones, guess you'll be asking for an iphone when you start talking.
No more bottles!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hallelujah!!! You loved your bottle but totally gave it up on your own, a battle I wasn't going to fight but I am certainly not dissapointed there aren't any more bottles to clean (at least for 5 more months ha). You eat food and drink milk and water, a real little boy!! We started a tradition, where you and I go on a date once a week! Daddy came along on the last one but until then it was just you and I am we went to Scotto's each time. This is so fun, we go out and have dinner together, love it!!
You stand on your own all the time, have taken 3-ish steps, 3 or 4 times, but just prefer to crawl. Whatever floats your boat! You are into everything, and I mean everything!! Every drawer, every cabinet, the trash can, the toilet, you love turning the water on and off in the bath tub. You absolutely know what you are and aren't supposed to be doing and always look back at me when getting into the wrong things to see if I notice. If I say "no" you just laugh at me and continue on with whatever it is you set out to do...hummm stubborn, dare devil, and doesn't like rules- wonder where you got those traits?! hrm :) Oh and at meals you have gotten into this thing where you continuously throw you milk onto the floor then scream because you are thirsty, holy moly!
We let you cry it out right after your first birthday. After about 3 nights of no sleep for either of us on both sides of the monitor you slept through the night again, thank god!! It's been smooth sailing since, knock on wood! As for naps, you are still taking two most of the time, but some days you only take 1 really long one, I think a transition is in the works, but for now any sort of "schedule" is out the window and during the day you sleep when you're tired.
This past week has been super rough. You got your first molar a few weeks ago and now the other 3 are ready to come in. We have had exploding diapers, like through your clothes, and all over everything, fevers, sooo sad, in so much pain, and whining in discomfort. It kills me to see you so upset but everyone keeps telling me it's teething, including the nurse on call that I have talked to the past 3 nights. You also had pink eye and we have an eye ointment, poor little guy.
You are a hilarious little dude. We have gotten to spend so much quality time together this months it's been amazing. Sometimes I even think we have conversations. While you have no idea what I am saying and vice versa, you wait until I am done and then you blah blah and smile at me when I look in your eyes! You are the best!! We have so much fun together, snuggling in the morning and night, playing games, reading books, and just being out and about, love it all!! You love your friends and other little babies and kids. At the super bowl party you had a blast eating dinner at the table with the other little people. We had a play date with Ellie and Aubrey and you loved playing with them and interacting with them. And every day you light up when you get to day care and see Kaitlyn! You have also continued your swimming lessons with a whole group of neighborhood friends, your favorite part is when you get to practice getting out of the pool, haha! One day we went and saw my grandma, your great grandma in her Alzheimer's home, she has no idea we were there but I think she appreciates it and like seeing you even though she thought you were a girl.

It is fascinating to me to sit in your playroom with you and watch the wheels turn and you learn. I see you try to put balls in your different toys, pushing the buttons, DANCING (you dace to every tune you hear, every.single.one), shooting baskets, and opening and closing everything. You also really like everything to be closed especially doors and drawers and will crawl into the kitchen to close the pantry door if it's open! You are this amazing little boy, it's just so cool to watch!! And oh yeah you are obsessed with me, want me when you're upset, and crawl over to the top of the stairs when you hear me get home from work!! Mommy's little man!!!

11 Months
Ry Ry Bug-
Last month as a "baby" coming right up. Today you are 11 months, totally insane, but we are both handling it pretty well. Everyday you are doing something new, every week I feel like you are a totally different little guy. You are growing and learning and discovering new things constantly. Your personality is coming through more than ever and is just so cool!! You make funny faces where you squint your eyes and squish your nose, you copy things we do, you make tons of noises, and are just so interactive. You love clapping and being proud of yourself and we are so proud of you too!
You stand stand stand, move from one LPO(large plastic object) to another, pull up on things, and even let go of everything and stand in place for a few seconds. Just this week we have noticed, when you make noise on the monitor to get up in the morning you have been standing in your crib hitting your mobile. If we leave the room for a second you are pulling up on something else, opening drawers and cabinets, all over the place and into everything.
You are still size 4 diapers, wearing size 12-18months clothes, you are sleeping pretty well with just a few bad nights this month, you still love love love bath time, and now we have added brushing your teeth to the routine, you seem to enjoy the gum massage. If I was trying to predict the future, I might think you are going to be a biter, because every time I have you on my shoulder you attempt to take a chunk out. You hold your own bottle, this is amazing! You got your sixth tooth, first zit and I mean with a white head, and really upset mommy for the first time when you cried when I took you from Grandma. You also threw your first consecutive temper tantrum, tears and all, when I kept telling you "no" and pulling you off the fire place....I know I'm so mean! You say da da da da and blah blah blah blah all the time. You have even started screaming sometimes hahaha it's hillarious!
You eat everything!!! I think bananas are probably your top choice though you have really liked my orange this week, like yelled at me for more when you were done with yours. We ordered off the kids menu for the first time at Coastal Flats. We got you a grilled cheese and apple sauce, you ate the entire thing in addition to the bread and baby food jar I had brought for you. We also got your grilled chicken fingers at BW3's one day.
You experienced your very 1st Thanksgiving which was a blast. You loved the sweet potatoes, who doesn't with marshmallows and everyone of course wanted all of your attention. You went and visited Santa for the first time, we had such a great experience. You were so curious, it was so cool to watch. We were in the front of the line so you got some extra special attention from Santa while they were setting up!
You are so different then you were last month. You are so cool and fun and still momma's little cuddly bug. Watching you learn and experience new things is what life is all about. We are so excited for your 1st Christmas and 1st birthday back to back. You are one amazing little baby!!

Ryan - 6 months
my sweet baby boy,
I say baby lightly because this month more than ever before you have transformed from this little itty bitty infant that was happy to sleep most of the day and eat the other part to this amazing little boy full of personality and wants and desires...all in like the blink of an eye. These 6 months have absolutely flown bye, really where did they go??
You weigh 18 pounds and are 27 inches long (will fill in the blanks on monday when we go to the doc). You are in size 3 diapers, perfect fit for now. You have been on formula and rice cereal from time to time but you hate it so I don't force the issue. You had some watermelon this month to go along with your chocolate and frozen yogurt from months past. I am so excited for you to start eating food, I can't wait to see your expressions. You are okay with tummy time although still not in love, you kick your feet in the air so I think crawling is a way off. Rolling over has happened twice but I am pretty sure both occurrences were last month. You can pretty much sit up on your own with someone close, all by yourself you would fall over. You love to stand, much more than sitting, but most of all you love to be held. You are also starting to know who is holding you and becoming much more shy about going to strangers. I kinda love the fact that you are obsessed with mommy holding you. You are such a happy baby, smiling all day and drooling like a faucet. You are also soooo laid back and low key, really just amazing!!!
Your smile lights up the room, it's contagious. Your eyes are still the bluest of blue. And your personality is shy, happy, loving, and the sweetest little guy all wrapped into one beautiful chunky legged little boy. You do this wonderful mixture of smiling...laughing...squealing....screaming thing that is so cute and sometimes even fake which I totally call you out on. You are no longer happy just sitting in your car seat and watching us eat dinner, you want to be a part of it all and up and moving around most of the time (remind you of anyone???).
This month you went to your first Nats game, we got AC seats because it was 105 degrees outside. You went to the pool twice, jury is still out on whether or not you like that scene. You went to work with mommy and stayed home with daddy and Nona while I went away from your for the first time ever over night. They were a very long three nights for me and I am pretty sure you were either very tired or mad at me when I got back, you hated the shark I gave you at the time which is now your favorite toy. You (I don't want to jinx it) but are kinda back to sleeping through the night. You love tv, are still obsessed with your play mat and kicking your feet, you put everything into your mouth including your entire hand fist included, and you are warming up/loving your jumperoo. Your fave toy from the previous months "Mooey" is losing his lead to the Shark I got you at the Atlanta aquarium.
While I can't believe it has been 6 months, a half of a whole year, I can't even remember me before there was you. You are the absolute best thing that has ever happened to me and your dad. Having you has made life a lot more simple and reminded us of the little things and how important they are. We have pumped the breaks on our constant go go go 100 mph at all times lifestyle and just enjoy our time with you as much as possible. You are one very special boy and we are LOVING every second of this life. I wish you could slow down a bit and each day could go on for a week, but we are trying to live it up each day and get as many hugs and kisses and smiles as we can.
You are absolutely amazing and we love you so so so much.

4 Months
Our Dear little boy~
This has definitely been my favorite month so far, I think I say that every month, but you have really come into your own. You talk allllllll the time, I have no idea where you got that from, you smile and sometimes you even smile and make a noise that is soooo close to a laugh but not there quite yet, sort of a cackle. Your legs go 100 miles a minute, especially when you are jamming out to the tunes in your jungle.
You had your 4 month check up and were 14 pounds and 25.75 inches long. You seem so big to us this month, but your are a little thing compared to the average. You have the most squeezable chubby little cheeks and totally have rolls on your legs which are to die for. When you look at us with those beautiful big blue eyes we melt every time. You have found your tongue this month, you are always sticking it out, sucking on it, and blowing bubbles. Your arms and legs movements have become much more controlled and purposeful. You are in size 2 diapers, want nothing to do with your pacifier, you whip the socks we put on your hands at night across the room from time to time, and still a great sleeper. We usually put you down between 8:30-9pm and you sleep right on through till 6:30-7am.
You continue to light up our lives every single moment of the day. You are totally a baby boy, you love to stand as much as possible until you collapse because your legs are tired. You love kicking your mirror in the car because it makes the animals on there jiggle and then you laugh and yell at them, it's hillarious. My favorite times, although I love them all, are first thing in the morning- you always wake up so happy and just talk talk talk, bath time- this has really become some real quality time for both of us, you are soooo relaxed and happy in the bath it is so special, and bed time- when you lay on your changing pad while I am getting your pj's ready you kick and kick and talk, and then I feed you a bottle, and rock you, love love love when you fall asleep on me. I would let you stay there all night but I would never get any sleep which would make for a very grouchy mommy.
This month has been a month of new adjustments for us. I went back to work which has proven to be the hardest thing ever, I miss my little man so much during the day. I have found the only upside to the whole thing is coming home to your beautiful smile, there is nothing better! Also, this month I decided to just bring you in the bath with me which has proven to be the easiest way so far and most fun for both of us, me, you, and the rubber duckies!!
Watching you grow and develop and become this amazing little baby boy has been the best and most wonderful experience. I am anxious for the next day/week to see what will happen next, but also wish time would just stop for a few minutes so I can take it all in. I have been working very hard at enjoying the moment and not looking ahead so I don't miss a thing. Your smile is the most beautiful thing we have ever seen, your voice is the most wonderful sound we have ever heard, and the love we have for you is something you will never be able to wrap your little hands around. We love you so so much, more than you will ever know!

2 months

Our Little Man-
This month has been amazing, you grow so much everyday in size and personality. At your two month check up you were 10 pounds and 13 ounces and 22.75 inches long! This month you have started moving so much more, you kick your feet and move your arms all of the time especially when your music is playing on your play mat. You are awake so much more also, those big beautiful blue eyes, I just love it!!
I really wish time would slow down. You are growing so much and changing so much everyday I am left wanting more and more and you are onto the next thing, when people said "they grow up so fast" they weren't kidding. Babies really are a miracle and we couldn't have asked for any greater miracle then you. We love being a mom and dad to such a precious little angel.
