I spy with my little eye....cars parked on the TOLL ROAD!!!!!

So Wednesday, Gov shuts down 2 hours early, I am sitting in my office just after 3:00 trying to finish some things so I can head home.  Eric was IMing me every 15 seconds demanding me to leave and then around 3:15 ice pellets start literally bouncing off my window...alrrrrrrrrrrighty then I am outta here.  Well what I didn't find out until later, the moment I left was the last of the survivors.  I had co-workers leave 15 minutes later, things didn't quite work out the same for them as they did for me.  While the streets were getting pelted with ice and get this....thunder snow haha, I was moving about 40mph down the toll road to make it home in just under an hour.  Those poor frineds and co-workers that left 15 minutes later....not so much.  Took them 8,9, and 10 hours to get home, putting them in their homes after 1AM!!!!!!!!  Holy cow, I have never heard of anything like this...and THANK GOODNESS I left when I did, because with my lack of patience I can ONLY imagine how that might have turned out.

So Thursday comes around, our streets are plowed, there was actually even a little tractor plowing the sidewalks, and the Gov is on a 2 hour delay!  I LOVE 2 hour delays, we slept in a bit, got up, cleaned some, started laundry, had a nice cup of coffee and some oatmeal, then got in the shower.  Got out of the neighborhood just fine, pulled on the Belmont Ridge, noticed a few maybe 5 cars just randomly parked and covered with snow from the plows.  I called Eric and we discussed how on earth the plow didn't hit all these cars and how crazy it was people just left their cars in the middle of the road.  But this was nothing compared to the TOLL ROAD!!!  OMG!!!  So on my way to work I was counting cars, I stopped at 30 because I forgot where I was counting, but there were cars EVERYWHERE.  Even in the lanes on the toll road!!!!  There were people dropping people off at their cars left from the night before, people along the sides of the toll road where cars go 60mph digging with shovels, their cars out of this mess.  I have NEVER seen anything quite like this craziness.

Random Car just PARKED on the side of the road, like where did this person go to when they left their car?????

Exit off Spring Hill, which is apparently a parking lot.  Look how nicely they are all lined up next to each other hahahah!    !

One of the not so lucky car abandoners, looks like the tow truck beat ya to it.
And here are some people running DOWN THE TOLL road to their car with a shovel.

and thats what they call starting the year off with a BANG....

Craazzzzzzy week, Insane/Amazing/Emotional/Draining/Exciting/Challenging/Motivating/Frustrating/Everything way to begin the new year... not looking for sympathy just justifying my wine intake for the evening....

New Job and soooooooooo much to learn considering I haven't done anything with HR to this point, and I am learning/taking over on a week that my recruiter is out of town on a cruise...super JEAL :)

**Anyone who knows me knows that the not knowing and therefore not being good at what I am doing is driving me baaaaazurk, so I have spent all of my "free"(relative term) time of course working...
I NEED this book S-T-A-T...
3 basketball practices for my 10&U girls- sun/mon/thurs nights- I go straight to the gym from work...change in the car...YES all of my clothes remain in my car for daysssss until of course I need to wear them again

**Soooo practices this week were preparing for our hardest match up against Vienna on Sat and another tough match up on Sunday, YES for me they were extra stressful...I wish I didn't need to win so much and could just have fun

The "Has Beens" which is our adult co-ed basketball team, consisting of my immediate and extended family including Stevie, BJ, and Kara played a game on Wed night...these games are fun for me, I love playing basketball buttttt when your schedule is insane having something/anything to do is just kind of annoying, but regardless mark me down for 12 points holla!!   Debs took pics this past week- will post those later for your enjoyment...
Perfectly Planned- this is awesome news, this week we have two new clients with weddings this fall, sooooo excited for these brides and can't wait to be there and help with their perfect wedding days....lots of admin work this past week...after practice...after dinner, perfectly planned contracts!!!  this week= 2 contracts and 4 package inquiries :)

Team America- the 7.0 mixed double tennis team I captain- yes that is correct, season started THIS week soooo I have had a GAAAAAzillion emails to respond to and line ups to send out and money to collect to get this gig started

I asked for "help"- Alert the presses- I think I actually had more than I could possibly handle on my plate soooo I even asked Whitney if she would coordinate our soccer team, roster due 1st week of February, need players, anyone interested???

And Lastly, let me tell you about my hatred for incompetent people....I spent at least 4.5 hours (of time I obviously didn't have) on the phone, and 3 hours in the car driving at the wee hours of the morning and during rush hour on a Friday afternoon, and total frustration because pharmacists, insurance companies, and the other 15 people we had on a conference call with are completely stoooooopid and can't figure out how to get their patients the medicine they asked for on time....
OHHHH Friday, you couldn't have come soon enough...HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!

face on fire

Normal evening, just got back from a run with Rocco, made my famous (aka only and fastest thing I can make) stir fry and plopped on the couch to watch Sunday night football and Desperate Housewives with my main squeeze. Eyes start itching because of my stupid allergies that won't go away, I scratch, and BAM face is on completely on fire, can't open my eye, pain pain pain and scared of going blind, typically I overreact. Errrrrrrrrrrric...and he comes to the rescue and washes out my eyes!! I was able to open my eyes after about 5 minutes but my face continued to burn the rest of the night.

Note to self: when you cut up hot hot hot peppers wash.your.hands before touching your face.

Don't say I didn't warn you, those peps are deadly!!!
