Wintergreen Weekend!!

This summer is flying bye!  Granted we have 2 big beach trips coming up, we haven't been anywhere this summer, where usually we try and do a beach weekend here and there.  A few weeks ago we asked around and decided Wintergreen it was, it would be so much cooler (since it's so hot here) up there.  We had an amazing weekend!  When you are around my mom and gma you rarely have to lift a finger, so relaxing is an understatement (I would offer to help, but they really do just love waiting on people).  Cell phones don't really work and it's just something about the fresh air and being away in the mountains that always allow me to get so much awesome sleep!!  This weekend we slept with the windows open, 60's at night, it was perfect!!!  Of course we had Rocco sleep next to the window to be on alert for any roaming bears!

We chose Wintergreen mainly because we were looking for a great place to go and play around a golf!  And that is exactly what we did, our group of 7 played 18 on Saturday afternoon.  Gma won the day, helps to play everyday of the week.  We played girls at one tee time and boys at the other!  We had a blast!  I actually did really well (keep in mind this is my 3rd time) on the front 9, PARing two holes and ending with 55.  The back nine isn't really worth talking about. 

Just a fabulous weekend to spend outdoors and with family.  Coming back completely relaxed and rejuvinated!  Debs and I shared a cart, I LOVE driving golf carts!

The guys at the top of 17.  Wintergreen was sooo hilly, made it super fun to drive the cart up there and made the course very neat.
