Kings to the West Coast!!!

VIVA LAS VEGAS!!!!!!

Thursday Night Arrival for my very first and much anticipated trip to Las Vegas to celebrate Wiggin's 30th birthday.  We checked into our hotel, Treasure Island for the night, quickly changed into a Vegas but not one of our favorite outfits and hit the strip.  First stop Bellagio fountains, sorry I am a sucker for tourism and they certainly were a site to see!!
After a nice and relaxing 5 seconds enjoying the view, we got the call.  The Wiggins' were done with dinner, Julia was passed out, but Kathleen and Martin were across the street and Planet Hollywood club called Gallery, table and bottle service- gotta like that.  Never again was there a dull moment of this trip....

Friday Eric and I were up and at 'em early!!  We even put on our work out clothes which we had high hopes of running through town (especially in San Diego), yeah not so much this was the one and only time the Asics came close to my feet.  Anywho, we went for a long walk, checked into the Palazzo where we would be staying the rest of the trip, packed up our stuff which we had managed to have spread all over the room in just the few hours we were there, and breakfast it was!  The Wiggins crew came down, met up with them, Jessica and "AE" arrived, met up with them- one big happy family!  To the pool!!!!

Friday night we did dinner at Mix which is on the 43rd floor of The Hotel, overlooking the entire strip, pretty awesome view, for some of us that is, (to exclude anyone who discovered their fear of heights right off the elevator) enjoyed awesome company and excellent food!  Plans were up in the air for Friday night, Martin's friend had a table at Chateau, we went there for a drink, it sucked so we left.  Continued to the Venetian, hung out at the bar there, played some craps, lost some money, all in all a fabulous evening.

Saturday HAPPY BIRTHDAY WIGGINS!!!!!  After a super cute breakfast at the downstairs cafe, it was pool time again, this time the Venetian pool, which is right by Tao, so we had fun music to go with our pool time.  Today it was buckets of corona's all day.  The sun felt awesome, the Corona's felt even better!!!

Saturady night was dinner at Sushi Samba which was awesome and such a cool experience.  We did some chef special thing which was like a family style 5 course dinner, last one being alllll of this yummy sushi!!  Then it was off to Encore where I actually won some money on this fun card game thing, winning!!!  And table on the dance floor with bottle service again (yes my liver and Grey Goose were sure getting to know each other by this point) at Tryst.  Which was a pretty cool spot, amazing waterfall at the front of the dance floor.

OFF TO SAN DIEGO!!!!!!
Sunday Sunday Sunday Sunday Happy Travels!!  Kathleen and Martin were so nice and volunteered to drive us home with them to save money on our trip to San Diego, which was awesome but totally not necessary (the trip on the whole).  After about 2 hours of being extremely nautious and getting through a really stupid and pointless Agriculture check point we were smooth sailing all the way to Irvine California.  I am so glad we drove actually, I had NO idea California was sooooo hilly!!!  Next stop, train station in Irvine CA.  We got there literally 15 minutes before the next train rolled through.  Such a beautiful and relaxing ride, we bought some wine, sat back and viewed the lovely coastline of southern California on our venture down to San Diego.

Arriving in San Diego, to our really really awesome Hard Rock Hotel right in the Gaslamp disctrict!  We had dinner at Vicenzo in Little Italy (so cute) and went to bed very shortly after, by like 10 o'clock.  Our energy levels were not exactly high the remainder of our vacation.
Monday was relaxing!!  Or as relaxing as Eric and I can possibly be for a period of time.  The weather was kinda crappy and well I just love Pandas, soooo San Diego Zoo it was.  We really actually had a blast at the zoo...this place is ginormous and filled with soooo many animals, lions and tigers and bears OH MY!

And nap time at the hotel, followed by the best couples massages we have ever had!!!  Eric's cousin then scooped us from the hotel, took us to their house in Point Loma, awesome view overlooking the ocean, and a magnifico home cooked meal- to die for!!!  Again bed early for this group!!
Tuesday was our last day in our favorite place, although neither of us were sad, we were exhaustedddd and ready to go home by this point.  We had a great day though.  Dropped off at Mission Beach, walked to PB, has hopes of making it to La Jolla but were unsuccessful.  We had a beer at Bubs (the Tech bar in PB), bought two really cheap towels at CVS, and went straight to the beach for a nap.  The sun finally decided to come out yay!!!  Got burnt and called it a day.  Nap time.  More Nap Time, wish I could schedule these into my normal daily routine.  Then we decided to do our own little appetizer bar crawl around our hotel.  Started out across the street and Fin something for fish tacos, then on to Donovans, and lastly to Nobu for some sushi, and to bed this time it's not even 7:00.  Ring ring, Eric's big brother in his fraternity called, so we got dressed again and went to some bar down the street on the rooftop of a hotel which was awesome, fire pits and all.  You have to remember 65 degrees is cold to those San Diegoans.  My cousin ended up meeting us up there as well and I we were able to meet him new wife Abby since unfortunately we had to miss their wedding last June.

Wednesday was spent in the friendly skies!  Luckily we had first class, wine, and a good movie!!
What a great trip it was.  If it wasn't for our families all being here I have no doubt that we would reside in Sunny San Diego.
